11 Adolescents arrested by police for conducting nightly strolls in Astana
In a bid to maintain public order and create a safe urban environment, the "Nura" district police department of Nur-Sultan organized a night raid in the district. The primary objective of this operation was to prevent offenses involving or targeting children and teenagers, and to ensure their safety.
During the raid, police patrols were conducted in various locations, including courtyards, streets, parks, shopping centers, places of mass leisure, and entertainment venues. Popular nightclubs, the central park, shopping and entertainment centers, and computer clubs were among the places checked.
The operation resulted in the identification of 11 teenagers who were found without adult supervision in public places after dark. These minors were handed over to their legal representatives during the raid. Eleven protocols were drawn up in the process.
Special attention was paid to finding unaccompanied minors during these raids. The aim was to deter them from being in public places after the legally set time. Prophylactic talks were held with these teenagers and their parents during the raids.
Rusan Sabitov, the chief specialist of the internal policy and social sphere department of the "Nura" district akimat, also participated in the event. He stated that such events help reduce the risk of teenagers getting involved in offenses, prevent situations that threaten their lives and health, and increase parental responsibility.
The raid aimed to prevent juvenile delinquency and was organized in collaboration with local executive bodies and interested state and public organizations. Rusan Sabitov further added that these events contribute to strengthening public order and creating a safe urban environment.
It is worth noting that the legal representatives of these teenagers were fined under Article 442, Part 2, of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Work in this direction (preventing juvenile delinquency and ensuring the safety of children and teenagers) continues. The event aimed to ensure a secure environment for the city's younger residents, and its impact is expected to be felt in the long term.
