63-year-old driver sustain severe injuries in road accident at Xanten, as reported by Polish authorities.

A 63-year-old resident of Xanten was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the Trajan Ring near Urseler Street on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred at 18:40, and the car collided with a tree, causing a fire. Emergency services were quick to respond, and the driver was rescued from the vehicle and provided initial medical treatment at the accident site.
Due to the severity of the injuries, the driver was airlifted to a hospital for further treatment.
The Circular Police Authority Wesel is responsible for the traffic accident investigation in Xanten. The commissioner of the investigation was the local police authority. A traffic accident recording team was called in to document the incident.
The accident site was closed during the investigation to ensure the preservation of evidence. The reasons for the car veering off the road are still unknown at this time.
