A Chinese automaker's hybrid electric vehicle boasts an impressive range of 1,274 miles while running on a 137 kW electric motor.

The Chinese automaker SAIC has unveiled its latest creation, the Roewe M7, a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that promises to redefine the boundaries of hybrid technology.

Designed by Josef Kaban, the former Rolls-Royce design chief, the Roewe M7 boasts a sleek and modern design inspired by the "Pearl" concept. The interior layout is clean and symmetrical, featuring a D-shaped steering wheel for a comfortable and intuitive driving experience.

At the heart of the Roewe M7 is its powertrain, which consists of a 1.5-liter engine, a front-mounted electric motor, and a 19.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. This setup is powered by SAIC's fifth-generation DMH hybrid system, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
