The German Weather Service (DWD) has forecasted a promising weekend for the regions of Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen, and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

As we move into Saturday, temperatures throughout the region are expected to rise, with highs possibly reaching 24 degrees. The sun will shine in northeastern Germany, although there may still be isolated showers in southern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the morning. Along the coast, temperatures on Saturday morning will be warmer, around 15 degrees.

Saturday morning in the northwest will be cooler, with lows around eight degrees. Southern Lower Saxony, however, is predicted to have fog on Saturday morning.

The meteorologist who made the weather forecast for North Germany over the weekend is Georg Haas from wetter.com, who summarized the forecast in the 7-day weather outlook "Deutschland TREND" on September 13, 2025.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the DWD has predicted potential heavy rain in northeastern Germany. However, the outlook for Sunday in the northeast, according to the DWD, is a fresh morning followed by temperatures rising to up to 25 degrees. The DWD has not forecasted heavy rain in the mentioned regions for Sunday, and there will be sunshine in northeastern Germany on Sunday.

It's important to note that on Friday, heavy rain occurred in Hamburg and the rest of northern Germany, as predicted by the DWD. In northeastern Germany, there could be heavy rain on Friday, as well. The DWD has not predicted any fog in southern Lower Saxony or along the coast for Sunday.

Isolated showers are possible in southern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on Saturday morning. The weather is expected to improve over the weekend in all the mentioned regions, bringing a much-needed respite from the recent weather patterns.
