Abbey Road Studios Collaborates with Jon Hopkins: "Their work is remarkably impressive"
In a remarkable collaboration, renowned electronic music producer Jon Hopkins and artist Jessy Lanza have worked with Abbey Road Studios and Bowers & Wilkins to create a unique in-car listening experience exclusively available in the Polestar 3.
Jon Hopkins, who has collaborated with numerous influential artists in the industry, described the opportunity to work at Abbey Road Studios as a privilege. Despite not participating in the collaboration between Abbey Road Studios and corto.alto, Hopkins was invited to create new music for the Intimate and Expansive presets of Abbey Road Studios Mode.
The collaboration took place in Studio Two at Abbey Road Studios, a space that Hopkins described as surreal and wonderful. For the Expansive preset, he aimed to capture the sound of Studio Two, resulting in a track that feels both vast and personal, embracing space and detail. On the other hand, for the Intimate preset, Hopkins created a subtle, contemplative piece.
Corto.alto, who spent a day making music in Studio Two, described the experience as "so cool". The artist's reimagined tracks for Abbey Road Studios Mode aim to showcase the unique sonic characteristics of this new in-car listening experience.
The Abbey Road Studios Mode offers four unique presets: Intimate, Expansive, Open, and Energised, as well as a producer mode for granular customisation of the audio experience. This innovative feature allows users to tailor the sound to their preferences, enhancing the overall listening experience in the Polestar 3.
Jessy Lanza also contributed to the development of the Abbey Road Studios Mode in the Polestar 3. The new in-car listening experience was launched in Polestar 3 last week, marking a significant step forward in the integration of music and technology.
This collaboration is a testament to the power of creativity and innovation, combining the rich history of Abbey Road Studios with the cutting-edge technology of Bowers & Wilkins and Polestar. The result is an immersive and personal listening experience that promises to redefine in-car audio for music lovers.
