Yesterday afternoon, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Weißensee. The incident occurred on Berliner Allee towards Pistoriusstraße around 2 PM.

According to the police, the motorcyclist, who was not found to have a driver's license, was riding a Yamaha at the time of the accident. The motorcyclist collided with a waiting Polo, driven by a 30-year-old individual who was uninjured in the accident.

The traffic investigation unit of Police Directorate 5 (City) has taken over the further investigation of the accident. It was later revealed that the motorcyclist is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs, as indicated by the blood drawn at the hospital.

The driver of the Polo, who was not injured in the accident, and the 31-year-old passenger in the Polo suffered minor injuries. The passenger received outpatient treatment at a clinic for cuts on her leg, while the 31-year-old was taken to a hospital for further treatment.

There was a traffic jam on Berliner Allee due to a red light at the time of the accident, which may have contributed to the collision. The search results do not provide the specific name of the warrant or "Fahndungstermin" related to the suspicion of alcohol and drug use of the accident participant riding the Yamaha.

The motorcyclist sustained head injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The traffic investigation unit is currently investigating the accident and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
