In the early hours of Sunday morning, a 25-year-old resident of Overath was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Bensberger Straße (L136) near Heiligenhaus.

According to the Police Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis, the incident occurred around 06:00. The individual was driving a Ford car, which veered off the road to the right and overturned multiple times.

The Ford, with damages estimated in the five-figure range, hit a guardrail and a tree before overturning. The car was subsequently towed away. Fortunately, the Overath resident sustained minor injuries and managed to free himself from the vehicle.
