Accused of trying to steal a motorized scooter
In the early hours of August 20, 2025, an attempted scooter theft on Viktoriaallee was thwarted by the swift action of the Aachen Police.
According to a report transmitted by news aktuell, the suspects were observed tampering with a parked scooter around 2:00 AM. A witness confronted the suspects, causing them to flee towards Turpinstraße.
A police team from the K9 unit found two suspects matching the description at Turpinstraße. An 18-year-old, with no fixed address, was temporarily detained, while a 19-year-old from Aachen was released after details were taken and a search was conducted.
Both suspects are now being investigated by the Aachen Criminal Police for attempted aggravated theft. The scooter's owner has been informed about the damage to the lock.
