Acquisition completed: Adecco finalizes transaction with DIS

In a series of significant developments, global HR services leader Adecco has announced key decisions that will shape its future. Last week, the company's annual general meeting took crucial steps for the development of Adecco, including the revocation of its shares for official trading at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (delisting), support for growth through lowered dividends, and the appointment of distinguished personalities to the Supervisory Board.

The annual general meeting also approved the move of Dieter Scheiff, currently at Adecco's German subsidiary DIS AG, to the Adecco Group. This decision was made by the Supervisory Board on 21 April 2006, and the recent ruling by the Duesseldorf district court has dismissed a motion for an injunction against Scheiff's move to Adecco.

The Adecco Group, a Fortune Global 500 company, operates in over 70 countries and territories, connecting over 700,000 associates with business clients each day. The group is listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, and Euronext Paris, and is registered in Switzerland (ISIN: CH001213860).

Klaus J. Jacobs, the CEO and Group Chairman of Adecco, expressed satisfaction with these decisions. He stated that Dieter Scheiff will be his successor and that the group will be able to fully implement its strategy announced in January. The Duesseldorf district court's ruling supports the employment of capable people from controlled companies within the dominant company for better overall group results.
