Reports of Brauss's death were first made by "Bild" earlier this week. His wife revealed that he had been quite frail and was being cared for around the clock. However, she assured that he did not suffer before his death.
Brauss and his wife, Marie Pocolin-Brauss, had been together for over 50 years. They married quietly in 2024, just a year before his passing. The couple will be laid to rest in Munich.
Throughout his career, Brauss played a variety of roles in both film and television, but he will be most fondly remembered for his work on "Tatort" and "Großstadtrevier". His passing marks the end of an era for German acting, and he will be deeply missed by fans and colleagues alike.
