In the world of superheroes and politics, Dean Cain, the iconic Superman from the Nineties, has made headlines for his endorsement of Donald Trump and his support for Michael B. Jordan as the next Man of Steel.

Cain, who gained fame for his portrayal of Superman in the four-season TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which aired from 1993 to 1997, has been a long-time supporter of Trump, endorsing him in the 2016, 2020, and 2024 presidential elections. Cain and Trump have been friends "forever," according to the actor.

Interestingly, Cain's political views appear to be in contrast with his progressive take on Superman's future. In a surprising twist, Cain has expressed his hope that Jordan, the star of Creed and rumored to be developing a limited series based around a Black incarnation of Superman, will be the next actor to portray the iconic character.

Cain met Jordan for the first time in 2009 at a Miss Universe pageant that Cain was judging. Since then, he has identified Jordan as the ideal candidate for the role, praising him for his qualities of humility, kindness, openness, and earnestness.

Cain's portrayal of Superman changed his life significantly. He returned to the Superman universe in the six-season CW show Supergirl, where he played Dr. Jeremiah Danvers, the adoptive father of Superman's cousin Supergirl/Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist).

The upcoming Superman film featuring Jordan is set to release in 2025. However, Fox News has criticized the new Superman movie as "superwoke" due to its "pro-immigrant themes." Despite this, Cain appreciates the portrayal of Krypto, Superman's dog, in the new Superman movie, stating that it gave him goose bumps.

Cain's friend warned him that once he put on the Superman cape, people would call him Superman for the rest of his life. It seems that prediction has come true, as Cain continues to make headlines for his endorsements and his thoughts on the future of Superman on the big screen.
