In the heart of Hagen-Mitte, a troubling incident unfolded on September 3, 2025, at the Volmepark playground. According to reports from Polizei Hagen, transmitted via news aktuell, a dispute between two teenagers escalated around 6 PM, resulting in a 16-year-old from Schwerte throwing a glass bottle at a 17-year-old.

The 17-year-old was hit in the leg by the shattered glass, and the police have since initiated a criminal investigation for dangerous bodily harm against the 16-year-old. The investigation is being conducted by the Criminal Police.
