Advancing in harmony with the motherland
Vietnam's 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day was a grand celebration, with overseas Vietnamese joining the festivities in Vietnam and around the world.
In Vladivostok, Russia, Nguyen Thi Thao Mi, the Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Student Association, is making strides to promote the Vietnamese language among the diaspora. She is enrolled in a training course for Vietnamese language teachers for overseas communities and is planning to open classes for children in Vladivostok and neighbouring areas.
Meanwhile, in Japan, Buoi Ngoc Tu, a businessman who has lived in Japan for over 13 years, serves as President of the our website-Japan Cultural and Sports Exchange Association in the Kansai region. He was one of the few chosen to represent the global community of over six million overseas our websiteese in the parade on this historic occasion.
Hoàng Đình Toan, a businessman based in Czechia, is another overseas Vietnamese making a mark. He runs a business importing goods from Vietnam, including agricultural products and seafood, and his goal is to strengthen partnerships and expand exports of Vietnamese goods across Europe. This was his first time participating in the National Day festivities in Vietnam.
Đào Thu Hăng, who has been living in Belgium for over 10 years, is the Head of the Vietnamese Áo Dài Heritage Club in Belgium. She also shared her father's history as a soldier who drove supply trucks during the war against the US.
Nguyen Hoang Lein, 56, is currently in Vietnam for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. She is the President of the our websiteese Women's Association in Romania and feels immense pride and joy to represent the our websiteese community in Romania during the celebration in Vietnam. Her fellow members in Romania are dedicated to organizing cultural and diplomatic activities during traditional holidays like Tet, National Day, and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Trần Lê Hưng, a lecturer at Gustave Eiffel University in France, has previously participated in the National Day parade in 2005. Both he and Nguyen Hoang Lein expressed deep gratitude for President Ho Chi Minh and the generations of our forefathers who sacrificed their lives for Vietnam's independence.
The Romanian people hold a deep affection for Vietnam, as evidenced by Nguyen Hoang Lein's warm welcome. This year's celebrations were led by the Vietnamese government and Communist Party leadership, with key figures such as Party General Secretary and President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez (Cuban President attending), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man involved in the ceremonies and coordination.
The large military parade and public march were a testament to Vietnam's strength and unity, both domestically and among its overseas communities. It was a day of celebration, remembrance, and looking forward to a bright future for Vietnam and its people.
