"Affordable Housing Expansion in Buckow: Development of 53 Subsidized Residential Units on Dröpkeweg"

In an exciting development for the city of Berlin, STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH, a leading publicly owned housing company, is set to complete a new urban project by 2026. Known as "Buckower Felder," this larger development will create approximately 900 apartments, each designed with sustainability and affordability in mind.

Located on a plot acquired by a joint venture between Ten Brinke and KIMAVI in March of this year, the Buckower Felder project aims to make a positive impact on both the environment and society. With the building permit already in place, construction is well underway, and the apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy by November 2026.

The new apartments will be equipped with energy-efficient features, such as floor heating systems and balconies or terraces, to reduce energy consumption and promote a greener lifestyle. In addition, heat pumps operated in combination with photovoltaic systems on the green roof will provide heating for the apartments, further reducing the carbon footprint of the development.

But the Buckower Felder project is not just about providing new housing; it's also about creating vibrant, eco-friendly communities. Green outdoor spaces are planned for the apartments, serving as meeting points and recreational areas for residents. These green spaces will not only enhance the quality of life for the future residents but also contribute to the overall biodiversity of the area.

STADT UND LAND, known for managing over 52,000 apartments and around 870 commercial properties mainly in Berlin districts like Neukölln, Treptow-Köpenick, and Marzahn-Hellersdorf, is committed to providing affordable housing for different population groups. With the Buckower Felder project, they aim to continue this mission, offering eco-friendly, affordable apartments to a diverse range of residents.

As the construction progresses, Berlinites can look forward to a greener, more sustainable future with the addition of the Buckower Felder apartments. The project is set to be a shining example of how urban development can be both environmentally friendly and socially responsible, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable city.
