AI Sets Sights on KOSDAQ, IPO Documents Submitted
Nota AI, a South Korean AI startup specializing in model compression and optimization, has submitted its Securities Registration Statement to Korea's Financial Services Commission, marking the beginning of its Initial Public Offering (IPO) process on KOSDAQ. This move comes amidst a slowdown in the Korean IPO market and a decline in new filings due to recent regulatory changes.
Founded in 2015, Nota AI has made significant strides in the AI industry. The company's proprietary AI model optimization platform, NetsPressoยฎ, enables high-performance AI models to run efficiently on resource-constrained edge devices. Nota AI's global competitiveness has been recognised by CB Insights, which named it to the AI 100: Most Promising AI Startups list in 2025.
Myungsu Chae, CEO of Nota AI, stated that the company's submission of the Securities Registration Statement underscores its proven profitability and solid mid-to-long-term growth vision. Nota AI recorded 480 million KRW in revenue in 2021, 2.01 billion KRW in 2022, 3.58 billion KRW in 2023, and 8.44 billion KRW in 2024, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 159.7%.
Nota AI plans to offer 2,916,000 shares at a price range of 7,600 to 9,100 KRW per share. The institutional investor book-building is scheduled for September 12-18, followed by the public subscription period on September 23-24. The proceeds from the IPO will be used to further enhance Nota AI's technology and accelerate its global expansion.
Nota AI has successfully commercialized NVA, the first generative AI-powered intelligent video surveillance solution in Korea. NVA is deployed across various sectors, including industrial safety, intelligent transportation systems, retail, and surveillance. Notable projects include a contract with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority and deployment at Kolon Industries' Gimcheon Plant 2.
Nota AI has expanded into key global markets, including the Middle East, Japan, and Southeast Asia, since establishing overseas subsidiaries in Berlin (2020) and Sunnyvale, California (2022). The company has achieved multiple commercial deployments through partnerships with leading global AI semiconductor companies.
Mirae Asset Securities is acting as the lead underwriter for Nota AI's IPO. The IPO comes at an interesting time for the AI industry, as it continues to grow and evolve, offering numerous opportunities for innovative companies like Nota AI.
