On Wednesday evening, an incident occurred during the landing of a Boeing 737-800 at Münster Osnabrück Airport, coming from Turkey. The aircraft, operated by Turkish airline Mavi Gök, slightly overran the runway, according to a spokesperson for the fire department.

None of the nearly 200 people on board flight 4M351 were injured. Passengers were able to disembark via the passenger stairs and were transported to the terminal by passenger buses. The aircraft, however, damaged some beacons on the runway, and was just inches away from sliding off the paved surface.

Mavi Gök attributed the late landing to weather conditions. The exact cause of the late landing is initially unclear, but a spokesperson for the airline confirmed that the Boeing was not damaged in the incident.

Following the incident, the airport's operations were temporarily suspended. Four incoming flights were diverted due to the incident. Operations at Münster Osnabrück Airport were resumed shortly before 3:00 AM.

Meanwhile, in the city of Hamm, a 35-year-old was arrested by the police following a break-in. The Voting Arena in Hamm, a focus for the youth, reported a positive balance for the OpenAir Cinema.

The affected Turkish airline, SunExpress, will take the aircraft back into operation after a thorough inspection and maintenance by Mavi Gök's technical team. The city of Hamm also reported a positive balance for the OpenAir Cinema.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety in air travel and the quick response of emergency services in managing such situations.
