Alaska Airlines unveils renovated D Concourse Lounge at Seattle airport
Alaska Airlines Reopens Redesigned Lounge at Seattle Airport
Alaska Airlines has announced the reopening of its most popular lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. The revamped D Concourse Lounge now offers 50% more seating than before, making it an even more inviting space for passengers.
According to Sangita Woerner, senior vice president of marketing and guest experience at Alaska Airlines, the lounge offers thoughtful touches such as a quick coffee station and more comfortable seating. A new barista station has been added on the first level of the lounge, providing passengers with a fresh cup of coffee or tea before their flight.
The redesigned lounge features a stunning Coast Salish artwork by Louie Gong (Noosack) as a prominent design element. Future updates for the D Concourse Lounge include the introduction of new hot food options.
The lounge also includes a mezzanine level for plane spotting, providing passengers with a unique view of the airport's activities.
Access to Alaska's lounges can be gained by holding a paid first-class or award ticket on an Alaska Airlines-operated flight. Free access is possible for holders of an Admirals Club membership or the Citi/AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard.
For frequent Alaska Airlines flyers, the AtmosTM Rewards Ascent Visa Signature card could be beneficial. This card provides access to Alaska's lounges, among other perks.
The lounge is also available at Alaska's lounges at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and New York's JFK's Terminal 7. The reopening is part of a $30 million project to improve lounges across Alaska Airlines' network.
Whether you're looking for a comfortable place to relax before your flight or a unique view of the airport, Alaska Airlines' redesigned lounge at SEA is worth a visit.
