In the early hours of August 30, 2025, a 24-year-old driver found himself under investigation for suspected drunk driving in Bonn, Germany. The incident occurred on the Willy-Brandt-Allee, where the driver ran a red light around 00:30 and entered a roundabout disregarding the traffic signal.
According to reports by news aktuell, the driver was stopped at the Bad Godesberg police station shortly after the incident. Indications of alcohol consumption were found during the check, and the driver took a voluntary breath alcohol test, which showed a result of approximately 1.8 per mille. The police stopped a Mercedes driven by the 24-year-old.
The driver's license was seized on the spot, and he was prohibited from continuing to drive. The officers took the driver to the station to take a blood sample, and the results are yet to be released. The driver faces an investigation for suspected drunk driving, and his license remains seized, prohibiting him from driving.
