Allwyn International AG Expands into E-Instants and Regulated Gaming Sector

Allwyn International AG, a global player in the lottery industry, has made another strategic move by acquiring Instant Win Gaming, an e-instants specialist. This acquisition was executed through its subsidiary Allwyn AG, and was announced recently.

The deal, which took place over the past year, does not affect Allwyn International AG's reported €1.5 billion in adjusted EBITDA for 2024. The company's valuation, as of 31 December 2024, remains at €11.2 billion.

The transaction broadens KKCG's investments into the regulated gaming sector, a move that aligns with Allwyn International AG's growing global presence. This expansion strategy includes securing a majority stake in the online sportsbook Novibet, although no relevant information has been found regarding the institution that acquired a majority stake in Novibet in 2025.

The acquisition provides KKCG with €500 million in proceeds, including consideration and locked box interest accruing from 1 January 2025. KKCG reaffirmed its commitment to driving Allwyn International AG's long-term growth across Europe and the Americas.

J&T Aarch Investments has divested a 4.27% stake in Allwyn International AG, leaving KKCG with a 95.7% share. This move strengthens J&T Aarch's partnership with KKCG founder Karel Komárek.

Allwyn International AG currently operates national lotteries in Austria, the UK, the Czech Republic, and Illinois (US). The acquisition of Instant Win Gaming is expected to further bolster its offerings and solidify its position in the gaming industry.

In a statement, Allwyn International AG announced its plans to secure a majority stake in online sportsbook Novibet, although no details about this potential acquisition have been disclosed yet. The company continues to focus on strategic growth and expanding its footprint in the global gaming market.
