Manitoba Museum Undergoes Renovations: Temporary Closure and Alternative Entrance

The Manitoba Museum in Winnipeg is currently undergoing renovations, with updates available on its website. The City of Winnipeg is responsible for these updates, which are set to transform the museum's foyer and entrance later this fall.

Due to these renovations, the Main Street doors will be temporarily closed from Tuesday, Sept. 2 to Sunday, Sept. 7. Visitors are asked to enter through the Steinkopf Gardens door during this period. The Steinkopf Gardens entrance is accessible via stairs from Main Street or a ramp from Lily Street. A buzzer near the Steinkopf Gardens door is available to alert security.

Staff from the Visitor Experience team will be on hand during operating hours to assist visitors at the Steinkopf Gardens entrance. The museum apologises for any inconvenience during the construction and brief disruption.

It's important to note that the museum will be closed from Sept. 8 to 12 for its annual cleaning week. During this temporary closure, there is no specified alternative entrance for visitors.
