Ampere promotes Anne-Catherine Brieux to Vice President of Industrial Operations
After a successful tenure, Luciano Biondo is leaving Ampere to pursue new endeavors. His departure comes at a time when the company is undergoing a significant transformation, with a focus on electric vehicles and a 'Made in France' strategy.
Luciano started his career at the PSA Peugeot CitroΓ«n plant in Sochaux in 1991. He rose through the ranks and was promoted to unit manager at the same plant in 1992. His career then took him to Toyota Motor Manufacturing France in Valenciennes, where he served as General Manager from 2013 to 2020. During his time at Ampere, Luciano played a significant role in implementing the Electricity hub and enhancing the group's presence in northern France.
Josep-Maria Recasens, the COO of Ampere, expressed gratitude for Luciano's work and wished him success in his future endeavors.
Taking over from Luciano is Anne-Catherine Brieux. Anne-Catherine started her career at Renault in 1997 as a manufacturing engineer at the CleΜon plant. She later moved on to lead key product standardization projects within the Renault-Nissan Alliance and became Director of Quality Strategy, Suppliers, and Development within Renault Group's Quality Department in 2023.
Anne-Catherine's background in industry, quality, and supplier management makes her the right person to carry on Ampere's industrial excellence. She has been appointed as the new leader of Ampere and will oversee the functions of Purchasing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT.
Anne-Catherine's tenure at Ampere began in April 2011, when she joined the Manufacturing family and managed the Renault Motores plant in Valladolid, Spain. She later led and integrated the first decentralized engine design in the factory for the Duster project.
Ampere is composed of four industrial sites: Douai, Maubeuge, Ruitz, and ElectriCity hub, as well as the industrial site of CleΜon. The transformation of these sites towards electric is a key step to support the electric and 'Made in France' strategy.
Josep-Maria Recasens is confident that Anne-Catherine's leadership will be instrumental in driving Ampere's growth and success in the electric vehicle market. We wish both Luciano and Anne-Catherine the best in their respective journeys.
