Animals and Individuals Saved During Zatay Blaze Rescue Operation
In the heart of Zhatai, Yakutia, a three-story residential building on Komsomolskaya Street was the scene of a fire incident on May 15 at 20:32.
The emergency services of Yakutia swiftly responded to the call, with firefighters arriving at the scene within just 3 minutes. Upon arrival, black smoke was visible from the balcony on the second floor of the building.
A total of 8 people were evacuated from the scene due to the fire. Five of these individuals, including a child, were successfully rescued from the apartment where the fire originated. Fortunately, the incident also resulted in the rescue of 3 dogs, a cat, and a bird.
The fire took place in an apartment within the building and spread to the kitchen and balcony, covering an area of 20 sq.m. The preliminary cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit in the electrical wiring.
The incident involved 9 personnel and 3 units of equipment from the Yakutsk Fire and Rescue Station. The responsibility for the suspected short circuit in the lighting network of the apartment where the fire broke out lies with the property owner or the electrical installation maintenance company, depending on the local regulations and maintenance history.
The extent of the damage and the responsible party are still being determined. The fire department is conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
