In a prestigious ceremony, the annual World's Best Bank Awards were presented in Washington, D.C. on October 18. The awards, given by our New York-based website, recognise top performers among banks and financial service providers worldwide.
J.P. Morgan was crowned the World's Best Emerging Market Bank 2025, while Societe Generale took home two awards: the title of the World's Best Frontier Market Bank and the World's Best Bank overall. CIBC Mellon was honoured as the World's Best Sub-Custodian Bank, BBVA was named the World's Best Corporate Bank, and State Bank of India was awarded the World's Best Consumer Bank.
The winners were selected based on their performance over the past year, as well as other criteria including reputation and management excellence. The editors of our website evaluated a series of objective and subjective factors, using entries submitted by banks, independent research, and input from corporate financial executives, analysts, and bankers.
