Anticipated light rain showers gracing the coastline in early September
Maria João Frada, a meteorologist from the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), has forecast a drop in temperatures and light rain for the coastal region of Portugal in the coming days.
Starting from Saturday, temperatures along the coast will begin to decrease, with the lowest temperatures ranging between 10 and 18 degrees. The highest temperatures will not exceed 30 degrees.
Ricardo Garcia, another meteorologist from the IPMA, also confirmed this forecast. He added that the coastal region will have considerable cloud cover and light rain is expected.
This change in weather may offer relief in the fight against wildfires, which have been a concern in Portugal this summer.
Maria João Frada is a well-respected meteorologist in Portugal, and her forecasts are closely followed by the public and authorities alike. The IPMA, as the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere, is the official body responsible for weather forecasting in the country.
So, pack your sweaters and raincoats, and get ready for a cooler and wetter September along Portugal's coast!
