Antique Appraisal Experts Heading to Del Ray for Last First Thursday Event
Del Ray is set to host an exciting event next month, as the "Future Treasures Kids Art Zone" takes over Pat Miller Neighborhood Square (2311 Mount Vernon Avenue) during the evening, while antique appraisals take centre stage at the Del Ray Psych and Wellness parking lot (1900 Mount Vernon Avenue).
Scheduled for September 4th, from 6 to 8 p.m., this outdoor event promises to be a fascinating evening for both antique enthusiasts and families. The Del Ray Business Association (DRBA) is organising the event, with Monika Schiavo from Coldwell Banker Realty serving as a sponsor.
The antique appraisals will feature a professional group of experts, including Oscar Fitzgerald, an American furniture historian and author, Dale Sorenson, who specialises in rare books, maps, and autographs, and Crystal Gitchell, a vintage clothing specialist and the owner of Marchioness Vintage.
Participants are welcome to bring their objects for appraisal at the event, with walk-ups being accepted. However, providing information and uploading pictures in advance is encouraged to ensure a more efficient process.
Meanwhile, the "Future Treasures Kids Art Zone" offers a family-friendly activity where children can create sun-catchers, self-portraits, and sidewalk chalk masterpieces.
This event marks the last First Thursday event of the year, a monthly series designed to bring the community together and showcase the vibrant culture of Del Ray. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to discover the value of your treasures and create some future treasures for your kids!
