Apple Set to Launch a 15-inch MacBook Air in the Year 2023, with a 12-inch Laptop to Follow According to Reports

The tech giant, Apple, has unveiled an exciting lineup of updates to its laptop portfolio for the coming year and beyond. Among the most anticipated announcements is the introduction of a 15-inch MacBook Air, marking the first time this popular model will be available in a larger size.

The 15-inch MacBook Air is set to adopt a design similar to the new 13.6-inch MacBook Air, promising a sleek and modern look. Apple plans to release this new model next year, potentially overshadowing the MacBook Pro 13 due to its potential for improved performance with the inclusion of a fan.

In addition to the 15-inch MacBook Air, Apple is also planning to release a new 12-inch laptop next year or in early 2024. This device will be the first take on a 12-inch laptop concept since the discontinuation of the 12-inch MacBook in 2019. The new 12-inch MacBook Air model will utilise Apple's latest M-series processors, offering significant performance enhancements compared to the Intel Core M processors used in the original 12-inch MacBook.

The custom silicon in the M-series processors should enable longer battery life while allowing for a fanless design in the 12-inch laptop. This is a departure from the current MacBook Pro 13, which may not compete well with the new MacBook Air, despite costing more and not receiving the same modern updates.

Apple initially planned to release a 15-inch MacBook Air this year but has shifted focus to the new 13.6-inch model. The new high-end MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips are expected to be released next year or in early 2023.

In other Apple news, the company is reportedly planning to announce a larger iPad Pro next year, with 11-inch and 12.9-inch versions to be released later this year. The new 12-inch MacBook Air model, if manufactured by Apple itself, as is tradition with MacBook Air devices, could be released in late 2023 or early 2024.

With these upcoming enhancements to its laptop portfolio, Apple fans are in for an exciting time as the company continues to push the boundaries of innovation and design.
