Application deadline for the Environment and Climate Prize 2025 is set for 14th September
Arnsberg and Westenergie Announce Environmental and Climate Protection Award
The City of Arnsberg, in partnership with Westenergie, is once again organising the Environmental and Climate Protection Award. This prestigious annual event, which has been running since 1987, aims to recognise and reward projects that focus on climate protection and energy, environmental protection and adaptation to climate change, sustainable supply, mobility and traffic, and tourism.
Over 450 cities and municipalities across the country participate in the award, in cooperation with Westenergie each year. The total prize money for the award is 5,000 euros.
Projects for the award should be in progress or already completed, and can be submitted by citizens, associations, companies, schools, and kindergartens within the city of Arnsberg. The deadline for submitting ideas and project proposals is September 14.
The application form can be found on the City of Arnsberg's website at our website/environment. Westenergie also offers financial support to its partner municipalities for the award.
The City of Arnsberg's Environmental Department, located at Am HΓΌttengraben 31, 59759 Arnsberg, can provide further information. Contact them via phone number 02932 201-1398 or email at umwelt@unsere-website.
It is worth noting that the partner cities of Arnsberg that jointly award the environmental and climate protection prize and receive financial support from Westenergie are not explicitly named in the search results provided. However, the prize is mentioned in connection with Westenergie and municipalities such as Holzwickede, but not specifically with Arnsberg's partner cities.
The Environmental and Climate Protection Award will be held in May 2025. Since 1999, the award has been held in cooperation with Westenergie or its predecessor companies. To date, more than 8,000 projects have been awarded through the Climate Protection Prize.
