Appreciation for Rubbing Cakes: A Soul-Filling Tribute to First Responders and Emergency Personnel

On Saturday, September 7, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, a special event is taking place at the Elisabeth-Roock-House, Wiener Str. 65, 42657 Solingen. This joint action between Karnevalsgesellschaft Muckemau and Lebensherbst e. V. aims to bring joy to the residents of the Elisabeth-Roock-House and thank first responders, emergency services, and crisis interventionists who were on duty on August 23 for the people of Solingen.

The large amount of pancake batter was due to the cancellation of a festival, but instead of going to waste, it has been put to good use. The donor who covered the costs for pancake baking and other expenses is named Klemens Schümers.

Petra Krötzsch, Managing Director of Lebensherbst e. V. and initiator of the event, has organized a buffer taxi service to deliver the pancakes to various stations. Motorcycle and scooter riders have been called upon through social media to help deliver the freshly baked treats.

KG Muckemau volunteers will be baking the pancakes for the seniors and first responders. For a donation of 5 EUR per portion, other pancake lovers can enjoy the pancakes, with the donation split equally between Lebensherbst e. V. and KG Muckemau.

Hans-Joachim Ritter, from KG Muckemau, expresses the importance of thanking those who helped Solingen on August 23. Krötzsch is pleased with the great response and willingness to help from the people of Solingen. Both associations are pleased with the cooperation and teamwork.

Lebensherbst e. V. was able to collect donations from the public to cover costs. Fresh pancakes will be served straight from the pan during the event. This heartwarming event is a testament to the community spirit in Solingen, coming together to express gratitude and share a delicious treat.
