Arcam's updated A5+ and A15+ stereo amplifiers target enhancements to their top-tier performances

Arcam Unveils Refreshed Trio of Integrated Amplifiers

British hi-fi specialist Arcam has announced a refreshed lineup of integrated amplifiers, the A5+, A15+, and A25+. These new amplifiers aim to "raise the bar even higher" with updated circuitry, refined components, better power management, and new features.

The A5+, a 50W per channel Class A/B amplifier, retains its 24-bit/192kHz ESS ES9018 DAC, a built-in moving magnet phono stage, and a 3.5mm headphone port. However, it now boasts refinements to internal components and a lower power supply impedance for enhanced performance.

The A15+ offers 80W per channel, also a Class A/B design with the same features as the A5+. The A25+, a Class G amplifier (100W per channel), has an additional, dedicated ESS9018 DAC for the SPDIF inputs. Moreover, the A25+ Class G amplifier's design aims to match visually with the partnering ST25 streamer.

All three amplifiers have been updated to Bluetooth 5.4, bringing with it the higher-quality aptX Lossless codec, LE Audio, and the Auracast sharing protocol. The A15+ and A25+ now feature an HDMI eARC input as well.

The A25+ also benefits from a transformer upgrade that reduces unwanted current within the chassis and a precision-cut glass front panel, offering a sharper, brighter display.

For US customers, the prices have increased: the Arcam A5+ costs $1199.95 (up from $699), the A15+ is $1499.95 (from $1099), and the A25+ is $1999.95 (up from $1499). The new Arcam A5+ will be available to buy at the end of the month, while the A15+ and A25+ are expected to be available in early Q4 2025.

In the UK, the new Arcam A5+ is priced at £749, while the Arcam A15+ is set to cost £1199. The flagship A25+ has risen slightly to £1699 from £1499. Full reviews for the A5+ and A15+ are expected in due course.

The original models of the A5, A15, and A25 were launched in 2023. Since then, they have fought off newcomers in the last couple of years, so high hopes are set for these updated models. With these upgrades, Arcam continues to push the boundaries of audio performance, making these amplifiers an exciting addition to any hi-fi system.
