Woman Fends Off Robber in Hanau-Mittelbuchen, Offenbach am Main
A 22-year-old woman from Hanau-Mittelbuchen narrowly avoided becoming a victim of a street robbery on August 23, 2025. The incident, which took place around 9:20 PM on a field path at An der Goldgrube in Mittelbuchen, saw the woman ambushed by a man who demanded her handbag.
According to reports, when the woman refused, the man grabbed her bag from her shoulder. However, the woman reacted quickly, striking the alleged robber in the face and shouting for help. Her cries alerted nearby people who held the man and handed him over to the responding police.
The suspect in the robbery case is a 27-year-old Hanau resident, known to police.
