Arrest Made in Case of Grave Physical Harm; Suspect Held in Reutlingen/Kirchentellinsfurt Regions
In a series of events that unfolded on Thursday evening, July 10, 2025, a 20-year-old man found himself in police custody. The Public Prosecutor's Office Tübingen and the Police Headquarters Reutlingen have been investigating this individual since the incident.
Initial reports suggest that officers were called to Reutlingen-Sickenhausen around 6:15 PM due to a mobile message where the man allegedly insulted and threatened an acquaintance. The alleged attack occurred around 6:30 PM in Wannweiler Street.
According to the reports, the suspect was found in possession of a stolen e-bike and two knives. He is also accused of attacking and slightly injuring an acquaintance with a pepper gun, causing a superficial injury to the neck. No immediate medical treatment was required for the second acquaintance.
The suspect, who is a German citizen without a fixed residence in Germany, was arrested around 8:30 PM on July 11, 2025. The arrest took place near the Neckar bike path without resistance. A pepper gun was found in the area of the arrest, and two knives were also discovered on the suspect.
The man was presented to the examining magistrate at the Tübingen District Court on July 11, 2025. He is currently in custody and is suspected of threatening and causing dangerous bodily harm. It is worth noting that the suspect held no official position during the investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Tübingen and the Kirchentellinsfurt Police Directorate before being taken into custody on Friday morning.
All items found on the suspect were secured, and an arrest warrant was issued by the magistrate, which was put into effect. The man was taken to a detention facility following his arrest. Further investigations are ongoing.
