Arrest of Suspected Burglars in Revenahe by Polish Police

In two separate incidents, unidentified suspects attempted burglaries in the towns of Buxtehude and Revenahe, police confirmed today.

Yesterday afternoon, at around 10:30 am, a burglary attempt was made at a farmhouse in Lindenallee, Revenahe. The apartment involved in the attempt was empty, and the suspects were observed by a 23-year-old resident of the house. The burglars used a stone to try to break into the apartment, but the attempt failed, and the suspects fled the scene, likely by car, in an unknown direction. The investigation into the Revenahe burglary continues.

Later in the day, between 12:45 pm and 1:00 pm, unknown suspects attempted a burglary at an empty apartment in Vaßmerstraße, Buxtehude. During this incident, an accomplice waited in a car outside the building, while the main suspects rang the doorbell several times, briefly left the scene, and then returned, breaking the kitchen window to gain entry. The direction of the suspects' escape is unknown. Inside the house, several cabinets were ransacked.

Police patrol from Harsefeld stopped a gray Mercedes with a 32-year-old driver from Hollenstedt and her 41-year-old passenger from Brunswick inside. The suspects were provisionally arrested and taken into police custody. During a subsequent search of the vehicle and an apartment in Hollenstedt, investigators found various evidence linking them to other crimes. Both were released after the police measures were completed.

The police have launched an investigation and are asking for public assistance to identify the suspects based on observations of suspicious persons or vehicles in the area. Witnesses with information about the incidents are asked to contact the Buxtehude police at 04161-647115. The investigation into the Buxtehude burglary continues separately from the Revenahe burglary.
