London Police Charge Two Suspects in East London Weapons Investigation
The London Police have laid charges following a firearms investigation that took place in East London. Two individuals are now facing charges as a result of the investigation.
On August 21, the police executed a search warrant at a residence located in the area of Egerton and Grafton Streets. The search led to the seizure of a loading gun, ammunition, cocaine, and over $2,000.
A 23-year-old individual received charges for four counts of possession of a firearm, possession of a Schedule III substance, and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. The 23-year-old is expected to appear in court on Sept. 9.
The other suspect, a 46-year-old individual, was charged with operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited. The details in the search results about the identities of the two suspects are not available. The 46-year-old is expected to appear in court on Sept. 29.
The items seized during the search warrant execution include ammunition, cocaine, and over $2,000. The London Police have not released any further details about the investigation at this time.
