Meanwhile, the pro audio and music industry has seen a flurry of changes. Oliver Gappa, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience, has taken on a new role as Sales Director for DACH, MENA, and Eastern Europe at TAG Video Systems. Gappa's career spans both established enterprises and fast-growing startups. In his new position, Gappa will focus on supporting TAG's customers and partners with solutions that deliver agility, reliability, and long-term value in their operations.

TAG Video Systems is not the only company making changes. Audinate, another industry player, has appointed TJ Adams as their new Chief Platform Officer. Adams brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held positions at QSC, Biamp, SITA (formerly Com-Net Software), and more recently at LucidLink, Telestream, and Rohde & Schwarz. Under his leadership, Adams expanded regional presence, built reseller networks, and managed multimillion-dollar revenues while cultivating long-term customer relationships. Adams took on his new role at Audinate on August 26, 2025, and will lead Audinate's platform strategy to deliver an interoperable audio, video, control, and management platform.

In other news, dBTechnologies USA has appointed Scott Thompson as Western U.S. Regional Sales Manager. Thompson, with more than two decades of experience in the pro audio and music industry, has a background as an independent audio engineer.

Meanwhile, AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, is celebrating 15 years of a remarkable partnership with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Training Trust Fund (IATSE TTF). To mark this milestone, AVIXA plans to introduce new courses that focus on emerging technologies and innovative practices. Furthermore, AVIXA plans to expand its reach by offering more accessible and flexible learning options.

The Stand Up to Cancer telecast, a significant event in the industry, used Shure microphones for its broadcast. Notably, the Nashville Community Gospel Choir performed using the new SM39 Cardioid Singing Headset Microphone from Shure.

These changes and developments reflect the dynamic nature of the pro audio and music industry, with companies adapting, growing, and evolving to meet the needs of the ever-changing landscape.
