Audio Equipment Company, MOTU, ships their new 848 Audio Interface model

MOTU, a renowned company in the audio industry, has announced the release of its latest creation - the 848, a 1U rack-mounted audio interface. This versatile device is equipped with Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 connectivity, supporting up to 60 channels of I/O and 64-channel mixing with effects.

The 848 stands out with its extensive I/O capabilities. It offers 128 channels of AVB network input and output, making it an ideal choice for professional studios and live performances. The interface also features four rear-panel mic inputs, each with individual controls for preamp gain, -20 dB pad, 48V phantom power, and phase invert.

For monitoring purposes, the 848 provides 12 balanced TRS analog outputs suitable for Dolby Atmos Monitoring configurations up to 7.1.4. The front panel of the 848 features a 3.9-inch full-color TFT display, providing easy access to crucial settings and parameters.

The CueMix Pro app, accessible on macOS, Windows, and iOS, complements the 848 perfectly. It offers 26 aux busses, plus main, reverb, monitor, and solo buses. All mixer inputs and output buses in the CueMix Pro app offer 4-band parametric EQ and a compressor up to 96 kHz, ensuring pristine audio quality.

The 848 also includes an integrated AVB switch with two Gigabit Ethernet ports for daisy-chaining up to eight 848 and/or 16A units, making it easy to expand your setup as needed.

One of the standout features of the 848 is its low roundtrip latency (RTL). Thanks to ESS Sabre32 Ultra DAC technology inside, the 848 delivers an RTL lower than 1.9 ms at 96 kHz with a 32 sample host buffer.

The 848 ships with MOTU Performer Lite workstation software for macOS and Windows, and it comes with 6GB of loops and sounds from Big Fish Audio, LucidSamples, Loopmasters, and MOTU, providing a solid foundation for your music production.
