Aue, Solingen's partner city, seeks monikers for freshly born miniature donkeys of American descent
A significant event has taken place at the "Zoo der Minis" in Aue-Bad Schlema, as a female foal was born on August 15th. This is the first time a female foal has been born in miniature donkey breeding at the zoo.
The little filly, who is lively and playful in her enclosure, is a very rare American miniature donkey. Her mother is named Sophy.
The zookeepers at the "Zoo of the Minis" are struggling to find a suitable name for the newborn donkey. To help with the naming process, the zoo is now asking for help from visitors. The name for the foal must start with "S".
Name suggestions can be sent via email to [email protected]. The deadline for name suggestions is September 10th. The person who submits the most fitting name will be invited to the christening ceremony, which is scheduled for September 22nd.
The gestation period for donkeys can range between 11 and 13 months. The birth of the donkey occurred around 3:45 AM.
More information about the zoo can be found at https://www.zooderminis.de/. The "Zoo of the Minis" is located in the Solingen partner town of Aue-Bad Schlema.
The christening ceremony is an event not to be missed at the "Zoo of the Minis". Let's hope that the little foal will receive a fitting name that she will carry with her throughout her life at the zoo.
