In the heart of Aachen, Germany, the local police are on the hunt for a 31-year-old man suspected of being involved in a series of fraudulent activities. The man, who does not have a fixed residence in the country, was arrested in late August 2025 after being caught attempting to pick up a package containing a significant amount of illicit substances.

According to the Aachen Police Press Office (credited to Aachen Police, transmitted via news aktuell), the package contained 3.5 kg of cannabis and 500 g of hashish. This case is part of a larger investigation into suspicious activities that the police have been pursuing since August.

The man, who introduced himself as a wealthy Italian fashion designer, is believed to have been involved in at least ten similar cases over the past year. However, the supposedly high-quality clothing he offered turned out to be of poor quality.

One of the most recent incidents occurred on February 25th, when the man approached a Chinese student near Pontwall in Aachen. He promised the student immediate transfer and high-quality clothing in return. However, the student soon found himself in a precarious situation, as the man asked him to lend money, claiming to have lost his card.

The student, trusting the man's false identity, got into his car and visited several banks to withdraw money. This resulted in a four-figure sum loss. The case of aggravated fraud is now being investigated by the Criminal Police.

The Aachen Police have issued a public appeal to help find the suspect. The wanted photos can be accessed via the following link: https://polizei.nrw/fahndung/178846. These photos can be used for reporting purposes without charge.
