Authorities are seeking individuals who may have observed a collision involving an electric scooter and a pedal-electric bike.
In the early morning of August 27, 2025, a hit-and-run incident took place on Weseler Straße in Dinslaken. The incident involved a Pedelec rider and a 14-year-old E-Scooter rider.
According to the Circular Police Authority Wesel, the Pedelec rider was traveling on the bike path from Dinslaken towards Voerde. The perpetrator, on the other hand, was the 14-year-old E-Scooter rider, who was coming from the connecting path between Waltraudweg and B 8, intending to turn right onto the bike path of B 8 towards Voerde.
The Pedelec rider is described as a man, approximately 23-28 years old, about 175 cm tall, with short, blonde curls. He was riding a black ladies' Pedelec at the time of the incident. The collision caused the Pedelec rider to fall, but he stood up, adjusted the handlebars, and left towards Voerde after a brief conversation, without stopping to assist the injured 14-year-old.
The 14-year-old was injured in the collision and the Pedelec rider is being sought as a witness or a suspect. The police are asking for witnesses to come forward to help solve the case. The incident occurred near house numbers 188 and 194 on Weseler Straße, at around 7:40 AM.
