Authorities are seeking out any witnesses and potential victims.
On Saturday, March 8, 2025, a 30-year-old driver was arrested on federal road 10 between Esslingen and Stuttgart for suspected drunk driving.
According to reports, the driver was operating a VW Golf 5 and was stopped by the police before the Leuzetunnel. The driver was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol following a witness report of excessive speed and allegedly endangering other vehicles on the hard shoulder.
Upon stopping the driver, the police conducted a series of tests at the scene. The driver was required to provide a blood sample and was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the police station. As a result, the driver's driver's license was confiscated.
The driver also reportedly insulted police officers at the police station.
