Authorities conduct in-depth investigation into illicit drug distribution and apprehend accused individuals following dwelling searches
In a significant development, the Criminal Police Elmshorn has made arrests and secured evidence in an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the Elmshorn city area.
The investigation, which began in January 2025, has focused on a 25-year-old Turkish man from Elmshorn, who was provisionally arrested on Thursday afternoon (28.08.2025) in the Steindammpark in Elmshorn. The main suspect is currently being held in the deportation detention facility in GlΓΌckstadt.
The search measures, ordered by a judge at the Itzehoe District Court upon application by the Itzehoe Public Prosecutor's Office, were conducted at three apartments in the Elmshorn city area. During these measures, additional evidence and a four-digit cash amount were secured.
The investigation also targeted two other suspects, aged 25 and 35, both Turkish citizens, suspected of being involved in the drug trafficking. However, the other two men could not be located during the measures.
The main suspect is now subject to a criminal proceeding under the Narcotics Act for the trafficking of BtM in a significant quantity. The Itzehoe District Court has issued an order for his expulsion with the aim of deportation to Turkey.

The suspect had a final deportation order from the Hamburg Migration Authority, but his whereabouts were previously unknown. The arrest and subsequent search measures mark a significant step forward in the investigation and underscore the commitment of the authorities to combating drug trafficking in the region.
