Authorities seek potential witnesses.
In the heart of Bochum city centre, a 19-year-old resident of Herne was the victim of a robbery on Saturday evening, August 30. The incident occurred around 11:20 PM near Südring/Universitätsstraße.
According to Marina Sablic, the contact person for press inquiries at Police Bochum, the victim was wearing a Borussia Dortmund football fan jersey at the time of the incident. The suspects, who are approximately 20 years old and have thin builds with very short blonde hair, approached the victims and insulted them, possibly due to the 19-year-old wearing the football club fan shirt.
The suspects demanded the victim's shirt under threat of violence. The victim complied, and one of the men tugged at the shirt. The other suspect, who was wearing a dark jacket, then fled towards Hermannshohe over Klever Weg.
The police are searching for these two suspects in connection with the robbery. Witnesses are urged to contact the Bochum Criminal Investigation Department at 0234 909-8105 or -4441 (Criminal Watch).
