Authorities seeking potential eyewitnesses.
On Saturday, July 5, an unfortunate incident occurred in Dortmund's Lünen-Brambauer neighbourhood. A 21-year-old man was the victim of an attack near house number 5 on Zechenstraße, close to a canal.
The attack took place around 9:40 PM, and the victim sustained severe injuries. A witness found the injured man on the sidewalk and provided first aid before calling an ambulance. However, the current status of the man's health is not specified.
The identity of the attacker(s) remains unknown at this time. The police in Dortmund are investigating a case of dangerous bodily harm (case number 0598) and are seeking witnesses regarding the incident.
In addition, it was reported that a family member of a suspect, Tyler Robinson, passed information to a family friend, who then informed the sheriff’s office that Robinson had confessed or hinted at committing the murder of a US activist. Robinson later surrendered with the help of his father, a former police officer. It is unclear if Robinson is connected to the attack in Lünen-Brambauer.
The Lünen resident who approached the attacker was also assaulted during the incident.
