Automation company Xenon strengthens its presence in Dresden, increasing its investments for future growth.
Xenon Automation Technology, a leading manufacturer of automated production systems, is investing 3.5 million euros in the construction of another assembly hall in Dresden. This move comes as part of the company's strategic focus on the production of future technologies.
The company, internationally positioned according to Managing Director Tobias Reissmann, has been continuously acquiring and developing assembly space in the CoschuΜtz-Gittersee industrial area since 1994. With around 325 employees at its headquarters in Dresden, 90 in China, and 50 in Mexico, Xenon Automation Technology is not dependent on a single industry.
The new production facility aims to achieve shorter delivery routes and higher efficiency. Sebastian Popp, Director of Production and Purchasing at Xenon Automation Technology, explains that the new hall will halve the logistics effort. The investment in the new hall is not related to the announced economic program of the federal government.
Xenon Automation Technology supplies customers from various industries worldwide, including renewable energy and autonomous driving sectors. The company has developed innovative assembly processes with Sunfire, a leading manufacturer of water electrolysis. These assembly processes enable precise assembly of fuel cell stacks with an integrated layer correction.
The new assembly hall will improve logistics at the Dresden site and centralize production. The Managing Director, Tobias Reissmann, states that Xenon Automation Technology is constantly necessary to become more productive and efficient due to its high export quota and tough competition.
In 2024, Xenon Automation Technology achieved a record turnover of 88 million euros. The company's foreign sites are growing particularly fast, and the new building in Dresden is a clear vote of confidence in the region.
Examples of future technologies produced by Xenon Automation Technology include electronic components for renewable energies and sensors for autonomous driving. The new assembly hall will help Xenon Automation Technology close an important gap at the production site.
Despite the company not being explicitly identified in the available search results as the one that announced in Dresden in 2025 to build a new assembly hall worth 3.5 million euros, it is evident that Xenon Automation Technology is committed to its growth and development in Dresden and beyond.
