Ayala Land Hospitality to Expand Nationwide, Introducing International Hotel Brands

Ayala Land Hospitality Corporation (ALHC) has announced plans for a significant expansion, aiming to grow its network to 20 locations across the Philippines in the coming years. The expansion, which is expected to cost P28.5 billion ($500 million), will add new properties and upgrade existing ones nationwide.

Roshan Nandwani, head of marketing and consumer engagement at ALHC, made these announcements, highlighting that the expansion reflects the company's strategy of balancing homegrown brands with global names.

ALHC currently oversees leisure clubs such as Anvaya Cove and residential hospitality projects like Park Central Towers. The expansion will see the introduction of international hotel brands, such as Moxy Hotels by Marriott and Canopy by Hilton, in the Philippines.

Moxy Hotels by Marriott will debut in Circuit Makati, marking its first entry into the Philippines. Moxy Circuit Makati is set to open in upcoming years, while Canopy by Hilton Makati will be located at One Ayala in Makati.

The expansion also includes strengthening ALHC's luxury portfolio with development plans for El Nido Resorts' Lagen Island.

ALHC is bringing in globally recognized names like Mandarin Oriental to showcase Filipino hospitality. The Mandarin Oriental Manila is set to open next year, adding to ALHC's existing properties under Holiday Inn, Fairmont, and Raffles.

Nandwani emphasized that global partnerships diversify offerings and expand the company's reach among international travelers. The expansion comes at a critical time with the Philippines targeting higher inbound arrivals and a stronger tourism recovery.

The expansion is expected to boost the Philippines' capacity to attract both international and domestic travelers, filling gaps in accommodation supply and enhancing the country's competitiveness as a destination. The program is funded through a mix of debt and equity over the next five years.

The addition of Moxy Hotels by Marriott and Canopy by Hilton is part of ALHC's efforts to cater to a broader range of travellers, offering a diverse selection of accommodations to suit various preferences and budgets. These lifestyle brands are known for their unique and vibrant designs, making them a perfect fit for the Philippines' growing tourism industry.
