Azimut initiates air travel from Sochi to Urgench
In the upcoming winter season, several Russian airlines have announced expansions to their flight routes, offering travellers more options for their winter getaways.
Azimuth Airlines is leading the charge, adding flights to Samarkand, Urgench, and Aktau starting from October 27. This move is aimed at expanding their route network and meeting the growing demand for travel. Other planned winter destinations by Russian airlines include Yerevan, Tbilisi, Baku, and Bishkek.
Azimuth Airlines will operate flights to Urgench, Uzbekistan, twice a week, specifically on Mondays and Fridays. The flight from Sochi is scheduled for 1:00 AM local time, with arrival in Urgench at 5:40 AM local time. The return flight departs Urgench at 6:40 AM local time, arriving back in Sochi at 7:30 AM local time. It's worth noting that additional fees may apply on top of the fare for the Sochi to Urgench flight.
The cost of tickets for the Sochi to Samarkand flight is 2,500 rubles, while the cost for the Sochi to Urgench flight starts from 9,900 rubles. The cost for the Sochi to Aktau flight is 5,700 rubles.
Meanwhile, RedWings and AzurAir are also offering winter flights to popular destinations. RedWings plans flights to Hurghada twice a week, specifically on Mondays and Fridays during the winter season. AzurAir, on the other hand, plans flights to Sharm El Sheikh during the same period.
Mahachkala and Kazan are gaining popularity as domestic destinations from Sochi. Ural Airlines plans flights to both Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh during the winter season, operating twice a week.
The flight schedules for these routes, including local times at each airport, have been reported by the airlines. It's an exciting time for travellers as they have more options to choose from for their winter travels.
