Bachelor's Degree Programs in Banking Arts
The University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern, Zweibrücken campus, in collaboration with Sparkasse, is offering a new 3.5-year dual study program in Bank Management. This program, starting from 01.11.2024, promises a comprehensive education in the field of banking, focusing on customer advice and support, financial investments, loan processing, international business, and various organisational tasks.
To be eligible for this program, students must possess an excellent general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) with a strong background in Mathematics and German. Other required qualities include mobility, above-average commitment, flexibility, resilience, quick comprehension, engagement, initiative, reliability, and a sense of responsibility.
The program is a partnership between the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern and the Steinbeis University, in cooperation with zeb.business school. During the theoretical phases of the program, students will attend classes at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern, Zweibrücken campus.
The dual study program covers various subjects including General Business Administration, Economics, Law, and the basics of all banking sectors. Deep dives into applied theory are provided for core areas such as Credit Business, Securities Business, and Accounting.
Throughout the first four semesters, students will gain practical experience in various departments of Kreissparkasse St. Wendel. In the 5th semester, students will be involved in a project and will present a seminar paper at the University of Applied Sciences.
Remuneration details for the program are as follows: - The first year of training: 1,346,- EUR - The second year of training: 1,488,- EUR - The third year of training: 1,470,- EUR - From the fourth year (the 5th semester onwards), students will receive a study allowance of 200 Euros per month.
