Backyard Garage Burning Waste Through Incineration

In the early hours of this morning, an act of arson was reported at a car dealership on Kolonnenstraße in Schöneberg. At around 5 a.m., three unknown individuals gained access to the rear courtyard of the dealership and set fire to three cars by pouring a flammable liquid on them.

The fire quickly spread, causing significant damage to four additional vehicles in the dealership, bringing the total to seven destroyed vehicles. Three workshop doors were severely damaged, and one other vehicle was slightly damaged. The arsonists also caused damage to four workshop doors.

Fortunately, the fire was extinguished by firefighters, preventing any injuries. However, the arson attack has caused substantial financial losses for the car dealership.

The police have not yet identified the three unknown individuals responsible for the arson attack. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the public is being asked to provide any relevant information to the authorities.

In response to the incident, Kolonnenstraße was closed between Kolonnenbrücke, Kesselsdorfstraße, and Wilhelm-Kabus-Straße until around 6 a.m. The closure has since been lifted.

The State Criminal Police Office's fire investigation unit is conducting further investigations into the arson attack. The investigation is expected to provide more details about the incident and potentially lead to the identification of the perpetrators.

Despite the setback, the car dealership is working to assess the damage and begin the process of recovery. The community in Schöneberg stands with them during this challenging time.
