Belarusian Prospect Arseniy Radkov Signs with QMJHL's Blainville-Boisbriand Armada

Arseniy Radkov, a promising Belarusian ice hockey prospect, has made a significant move in his career. After representing the Belarus U-17 national team and winning the Champions Cup, Radkov has signed a contract with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for the 2025/2026 season.

Radkov's journey in hockey has been a global one. Prior to joining the Armada, he played for junior teams in Finland (Jukurit) and Russia (Yugra). His impressive performances earned him the attention of the Montreal Canadiens, who selected him in the third round, 82nd overall, at the 2025 NHL draft.

However, Radkov will not be participating in the Montreal Canadiens' rookie camp, scheduled from September 10 to 16, as he has already committed to the Armada. The camp will take place at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard and Bell Centre in Montreal.

During the same period, the Canadiens' young players were set to play two games against the rookies of the Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leafs. Unfortunately, Radkov was not present, as he was with the Armada. The games took place on September 13 and 14.

Despite missing these initial encounters, Radkov's future with the Canadiens is not entirely ruled out. Given his contract with the Armada, any participation in the games against the Jets and Maple Leafs rookies, if any, will likely occur during a later date.

Radkov's father, Artem Radkov, is a former footballer and ex-coach of FC "Isloch". He currently heads the Cypriot club "Aрис". This athletic lineage may have played a role in shaping Arseniy's passion for sports.

In the 2024/2025 season, Radkov played 19 games for Tumen Legion in the MHL, recording a save percentage of 91.8% and a reliability coefficient of 3.18. The location of his games with the Armada for the 2025/2026 season has not been specified in the provided information.

As Radkov embarks on this new chapter of his career, hockey fans will be eagerly waiting to see how he performs in the QMJHL and whether he will make his way to the NHL in the future.
