Bengals Target Ravens in AFC North Showdown
The NFL landscape is set for an enthralling 2025 season, with two powerhouse teams, the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals, ready to make their mark.
The Ravens, led by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, have been a force to be reckoned with in recent years. In the past seven seasons, they have made the playoffs six times and clinched the AFC North title for the last two seasons. Last year, the Ravens boasted the best offense in the league, and their defense excelled at stopping the run.
Defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike has high praise for a new teammate, Malaki Starks. Madubuike describes Starks as a "beast" who knows where the ball is at all times and is a ballhawk. Meanwhile, Kyle Hamilton, one of the best safeties in the business, shares Madubuike's excitement about Starks, calling him a player with "star potential" and abilities that can't be taught.
On the other side of the field, the Bengals are gearing up for a challenging schedule. Their 2025 slate includes matches against 14 other teams, including division rivals such as the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals will also face off against notable opponents like the Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, and the Arizona Cardinals.
The Browns, in particular, will see a familiar face at quarterback. Joe Flacco, who spent a significant portion of his career with the Ravens, has signed a one-year deal with the Browns and will be their starter to open the season on August 18, 2025.
John Harbaugh, in his 18th season as the Ravens' head coach, will share the AFC North division with All-Pro quarterback Joe Burrow and two 40-something starters: Aaron Rodgers with the Steelers and Joe Flacco, now with the Browns.
Both the Ravens and the Bengals are eager to prove their mettle on the field, promising an exciting 2025 NFL season. The Ravens' schedule includes matches against the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Arizona Cardinals. The Bengals' schedule, as mentioned earlier, includes 14 other teams.
As the countdown to the 2025 season begins, fans can look forward to thrilling matchups and intense rivalries between these two formidable teams.
