In the ever-evolving world of technology, two of the world's most influential investors, Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, are betting big on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

According to recent reports, Warren Buffett, at 94 years old, has over 30% of his portfolio invested in two AI stocks: Apple and Amazon. Apple, Buffett's favourite stock, makes up the largest position in his portfolio. This strategic investment could be a signal for other investors, considering the significant advantages AI integration could bring to Apple's future sales and profits.

Amazon, on the other hand, is leading in two major growth markets - e-commerce and cloud services, with AWS. These markets, which are not yet saturated, have propelled Amazon's stock to a 15% increase in 2023 alone. The integration of AI into both Amazon's e-commerce and cloud service AWS could elevate them to an even higher level in the future.

Bill Gates, meanwhile, invests over 50% of his money in just two stocks, according to separate reports. While the specific AI stocks beyond Nvidia, Apple, and the fintech company Nu Holdings are not clearly identified, Gates' investment strategy underscores the potential of AI in shaping the future of technology.

However, it's important to note that Börsenmedien AG, the publisher of these reports, has a conflict of interest in Apple and Amazon, as their CEO and majority shareholder, along with board members, hold positions in these companies. This raises questions about the impartiality of the reports.

Warren Buffett recently sold nearly half of his stake in Apple but still owns over 400 million shares. He also sold his entire stake in the AI stock Snowflake in the second quarter. The reasons for Buffett's divestment from Snowflake can be found in a separate article.

At the World Wide Developer Conference 2024, Apple announced plans to integrate the speech model ChatGPT-40 from OpenAI into Siri, further solidifying their commitment to AI.

Warren Buffett, renowned as one of the best investors in the world, having consistently achieved higher returns than the overall market since 1965, is setting a trend for other investors to follow.
